Allison-Antrim Museum will have as its Fall exhibition of Greencastle-Antrim's WWII veterans' collection. It will feature uniforms, personal items, a Purple Heart, and memorabilia which belonged to Greencastle-Antrim men and women, all members of the Greatest Generation. The items are from the museum's collection.
In addition to the service uniforms of 23 Greencastle-Antrim soldiers are the uniforms of two Greencastle-Antrim women, U.S. Navy Captain Lois Elliott Harrel who also served in the U.S. Army Nurses Corp and Col. Lorraine Pensinger Phillips who served in "three" branches of service - the Army Medical Corps., the Navy, and the U.S. Air Force nurses corps.
Allison-Antrim Museum is open Tuesday to Friday, noon to 4 pm and Saturday, 11 am to 1 pm.
